4 killed in traffic accident in Russia’s Orenburg region

Four people were killed in a traffic accident on Sunday in Russia’s Orenburg region, local authorities said.

   The crash occurred at about 5:10 p.m. local time on the 338th km of the M-5 Ural highway near the village of Pokrovka in the Novosergiyevsky district, when a passenger car collided with a KamAZ truck, according to the regional prosecutor’s office.

   All the four people in the car died at the scene from their injuries, the office said, adding that emergency services were dispatched to the site to handle the aftermath.

   A preliminary investigation has been launched to determine the cause and circumstances of the accident, the office added.  Enditem
