The Ghana Education Service (GES) has interdicted Mfo Richard Tibetor, a teacher at Okadjakrom Senior High Technical School (SHTS) in the Jasikan Municipality of the Oti Region, over alleged sexual misconduct involving a female student, confirmed a statement on Thursday.
According to the GES, it had taken note of a disturbing video circulating on social media allegedly implicating Mr. Tibetor. Management described the conduct as unacceptable, unethical, and a clear violation of the professional code of conduct for teachers.
According to the statement, Mr. Tibetor has been interdicted and barred from entering the school premises pending further investigations.
GES assured parents, guardians, and the general public that the safety and protection of students remain its topmost priority.
It stressed that any teacher found guilty of acts that compromise the dignity and wellbeing of students would face the full rigours of the law in line with the GES Code of Conduct.
The statement, signed by Daniel Feny, Head of Public Relations at GES, reaffirmed the Service’s commitment to ensuring discipline, professionalism, and child protection across all schools in the country. Enditem
