Ghana to play 2026 World Cup group games in Canada, USA -FIFA

The Black Stars of Ghana will play their first three group games of the 2026 World Cup in North America, according to the venue and kick-off times released by FIFA.

Ghana will make their fifth appearance at the tournament and have been drawn in Group L alongside England, Croatia, and Panama.

The Black Stars will begin their campaign in Toronto, Canada on Wednesday, 17 June, 2026 where they face Panama in a late 23:00 GMT kick-off.

The highly anticipated clash with England follows six days later in Boston, scheduled for Tuesday, 23 June at 20:00 GMT.

Ghana will then wrap up their group assignments against Croatia in Philadelphia on Saturday, 27 June at 22:00 GMT.

Speaking after the draw, Addo urged his players to set the tone early but remained upbeat about their chances.

“Surely we take it match by match. We want to win every match, that is for sure,” he said in an interview with TV3.

“Like I said, once we get a good start, anything is possible. On a good day, I know we can beat anyone. But I also know that we can lose against all of those teams, including Panama.”

After a disappointing group-stage exit at Qatar 2022, the Black Stars head into next summer’s showpiece determined to rediscover the knockout-round form that once made them Africa’s standard-bearers on the world stage. Enditem
