NPP to exhibit party voters’ register from Dec. 31 ahead of presidential primary

The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) will commence an exercise beginning Wednesday, 31, 2025, to exhibit the party’s voter register at all the 276 constituencies across the country, according to a statement on Tuesday.

The statement, signed by William Yamoah, Secretary to the Presidential Elections Committee, said the exercise is expected to conclude on January 5 next year.

According to the statement, the rationale behind the exercise is to “ensure accuracy and transparency in the electoral process.”

The exercise will afford the various Regional Executive and Constituency Executive Committees, through their designated IT officers, to report any discrepancies, including omissions, misspellings, incorrect photographs, absent images, and other clerical errors for correction.

The Committee announced that the distribution of the party’s 2026 Presidential Elections Voter Register to all constituencies through their Regional Secretariats.

The statement further requested all Regional, Constituency Executives, Constituency Council of Elders, Constituency Patrons, and Electoral Area Coordinators to facilitate the seamless and transparent execution of the process.  

The NPP will hold its presidential primary on December 31, 2026, to elect a candidate to lead the party in the 2028 general election. Enditem
