An aspiring National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has congratulated Dr Mahamudu Bawumia on his election as flagbearer of the opposition party ahead of the 2028 general election.
In a statement issued by the former General Secretary of the NPP, John Boadu, said Dr Bawumia’s victory is a testament of confidence reposed in him by the delegates.
“This victory is a clear testament of confidence reposed in his vision, competence, and unwavering commitment to the values and future of our great party,” said the statement.
Dr. Bawumia was on Saturday elected flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party for the second time running polling 56.48 percent of total valid votes cast.
He will lead the NPP to recapture political power from the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2028 general election. Enditem
