Ghana’s Black Princesses have bounced back strongly at the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, defeating South Korea 3-1 in their second Group C match in Poland on Wednesday.
Ghana opened the scoring in the 52nd minute through captain Sarah Nyarko, who fired a long-range effort past the South Korean goalkeeper. Ivy Osei Owusu doubled the lead three minutes later with a composed finish.
Substitute Ruth Amponsah added Ghana’s third goal in the 84th minute, before South Korea pulled one back deep into stoppage time.
The victory gives Ghana three points from two matches and revives their hopes of reaching the knockout stage for the first time.
The Black Princesses will play France on September 12, with qualification for the next round at stake. Enditem
