At least 24 people were killed and dozens injured in a Russian drone and missile attack targeting energy and infrastructure facilities across Ukraine, Ukrainian authorities said Wednesday.
In the northern city of Pryluky, 18 people, including four children, were killed and 55 injured when a missile struck a building, the State Emergency Service said.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said two people were killed in Kiev and four more in the central cities of Kremenchuk and Oleksandriia.
Overall, infrastructure in Kiev and 12 regions came under attack, Zelensky said, adding that energy infrastructure was among the key targets.
The attack involved about 70 missiles, including cruise, anti-ship and ballistic missiles, as well as 130 drones.
According to Ukraine’s Air Force, air defenses intercepted 117 drones, 39 cruise missiles and five ballistic missiles. Enditem
