Top broadcast journalist Bridget Otoo has been appointed presidential staffer at the Office of the President, Ghana Eye Report sources confirmed Friday.
Born on December 31, 1983, Otoo is a freelance journalist, media personality, and public relations officer.
She previously worked with Ghana Ports and Harbors Authority (GPHA), performing public relations duties during her national service period.
Otoo has worked in various media houses on both radio and television, including Good News FM and Sky TV in 2008. Prior to that, in 2003, she was a voice-over artist recording advertisements for some institutions such as Tigo, Barclays (now Absa), Unilever, and Ecobank.
The 32-year-old also hosted “New Day,” “You and the Police,” and prime-time news on TV3 for some period of time.
Bridget Otoo was one of the demonstrators who got arrested and assaulted by personnel from the Ghana Police Service at the Occupy ‘Julorbi’ House protest, which was held on September 21, 2023, in the Ghanaian capital of Accra.
Quite an outspoken media personality, her views on LGBTQI in 2021 generated so much controversy in the country. In a Twitter or X post, Otoo asserted that she was willing and selflessly going to support the LGBTQI agenda in Ghana notwithstanding what religious folks say about them.
She also declared that if supporting LGBTQI is the fastest and easiest way to hell, she is ready to support it because she wants to meet Satan. Enditem
