Swedruman Council honours six for thier contributions

The Swedruman Council of Chiefs has honoured six individuals for their immense contributions to the development of the town in diverse ways at a ceremony at Agona Swedru in the Central Region.

They are Mr. Paul Kofi Assan (aka Kofi Welder), Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for P. K. Welding and Straightening Enterprise for employing over one thousand eight hundred youth; the CEO of Maryking Stores and Supermarket for employing over one thousand workers; Mr. Ralph Botwey; Mr. Amo Mensah, CEO of Humility Lodge; the Market Queen Mother for ensuring the safety of the market; and the CEO of Swedru All Blacks Football Club for qualifying the team to the Premier League after sixteen years in football wilderness.

The awards form part of the celebration of this year’s Homecoming Festival of the town.

This was disclosed by the Nimfahen and Regent of the town, Nana Kweku Esieni V, during the celebration of the annual Yam festival of the Owane Twidan Royal family to pacify and purify the royal stool.

The week-long celebration is also to recognize the role their ancestors have played and continue to play in their lives.

It was participated in by members of the family from home and abroad. Enditem
