Guinea-Bissau and The Gambia have signed a security agreement to deepen bilateral cooperation during the official visit of Gambian President Adama Barrow to Bissau.
The agreement was signed on Monday by the ministers responsible for security of the two countries, in the presence of Guinea-Bissau’s President Umaro Sissoco Embalo and his Gambian counterpart, at a ceremony held at Guinea-Bissau’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Communities.
It followed a recent agreement in the communications sector, under which the two countries pledged to strengthen collaboration in content exchange, technical expertise sharing, and capacity building.
Barrow’s visit, from Monday to Tuesday, also includes discussions on other issues of common interest, aimed at further consolidating relations between the two West African neighbors. Enditem
