The Chief of Agona Asafo in the Central Region and Nimfahen of the Agona Nyakrom Traditional Area, Nana Nyamfo Asuako XII, has vowed to deal with any motorbike (Okada) rider who creates unnecessary noise in the town.
He gave the warning in the wake of this year’s annual ‘Akwambo’ festival celebration of the town, where some Okada riders were rewarded for decent riding.
A law enforcement officer by profession, Nana Nyamfo Asuako, however, warned against those who ride carelessly, causing nuisance and danger to the community.
He stressed that some of the riders have adjusted the original size of the exhaust of their motorbikes with larger ones to create unnecessary noise, which poses a nuisance to the public.
“As those who ride decently have been identified and rewarded, you those who are riding and creating unnecessary noise and causing danger to the public will also be identified and rewarded when arrested,” he warned.
Okada has now become a common means of transportation all over the country, but it has been identified as one of the major causes of road accidents, contributing to the death and maiming of many. End item
