The Asantehemaa, Nana Konadu Yiadom III, has passed on, Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II announced at the Manhyia Palace on Monday.
At a meeting with the Asanteman Council, the Asantehene disclosed that the Asantehemaa died on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at the age of 98.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu II further disclosed that a one-week observance for the late Asantehemaa will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025.
Nana Konadu Yiadom III was outdoored as Asantehemaa in 2017 following the passing of her predecessor, Nana Afia Kobi Serwaa Ampem II, in 2016.
The late Asantehemaa was widely revered for her influential role in the Asante Kingdom and her steadfast commitment to preserving its rich cultural heritage.
She served as a pillar of support throughout her reign to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, and traditional authority. Enditem
