Ghana’s senior women’s football national team, the Black Queens, climbed five places to 62nd globally in the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola Women’s World Ranking released on Thursday.
The Queens also climbed three places to 3rd place on the African continent behind South Africa and Nigeria, who are ranked 55th and 37th respectively globally.
Ghana’s rise both on the continent and at the world stage reflects the team’s resurgence over the past year, characterised by improved cohesion, renewed confidence, and consistent strong performance. Enditem
