Head coach of the Black Queens, Kim Lars Bjorkegren, on Friday named a 26-woman squad for the upcoming Pink Ladies Cup in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) next week.

Bjorkegren’s squad includes six new additions to augment his team ahead of the tournament.

The additions include Turkey-based goalkeeper Rose Baah (Giresun Sanayispor), Diana Amoako (Ampem Darkoa Ladies), Ajegipina Zakaria (Ampem Darkoa Ladies – league top scorer with 12 goals), Alexander Emefa Tay, Sharon Sampson, and Helen Alormenu.

Key players like goalkeeper Cynthia Konlan (Samartex Ladies), Portia Boakye, Jennifer Cudjoe, and Grace Asantewaa are included.

Ghana will face Hong Kong, Russia, and Tanzania in the Pink Ladies Cup scheduled to kick off on Feb. 28.

The West Africans are using the tournament to assess their strength ahead of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco, which takes place between March 17 and April 3 this year.

The team is expected to depart for the UAE in the coming days for the four-nation tournament. Enditem
