Ghana’s senior women’s national team, the Black Queens, thrashed Egypt 4-0 in the return leg of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday.
With a 3-0 advantage on the road, the Black Queens were determined to seal the victory in front of their supporters at the Accra Sports Stadium.
After a goalless first half, the Black Queens produced a ruthless second-half performance, scoring four goals to complete the demolition.
Attacker Doris Boaduwaa stole the show with a sensational hat-trick, while defender Comfort Yeboah added her name to the scoresheet to cap off the emphatic win.
Ghana thus beats the North African side 7-0 on aggregate. With the result, the Black Queens have qualified for the 2026 WAFCON, marking consecutive tournament appearances for the first time in several years.
