The Black Stars of Ghana will face Wales in an international friendly at the Cardiff City Stadium on June 2, 2026, as part of preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) confirmed on Thursday.
The match marks the first senior meeting between the two sides and also the first time an African nation plays in Wales.
Ghana coach Otto Addo is expected to feature key players including Black Stars captain Jordan Ayew, Mohammed Kudus, Antoine Semenyo, Inaki Williams and other top stars ahead of the FIFA World Cup.
The West African country has also secured friendlies against Austria, Germany, and Mexico.
Ghana will be making a fifth appearance at the FIFA World Cup this summer and have been paired in Group L alongside Panama, England, and Croatia. Enditem
