Chad’s Foreign Ministry on Wednesday condemned the Israeli strike that targeted Hamas leaders in Qatar’s capital, Doha, a day earlier, calling it a violation of international law.
In a statement, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ibrahim Adam Mahamat said Chad firmly opposed Israel’s violation of Qatar’s sovereignty.
“Chad condemns in the strongest terms this unjustifiable attack which constitutes a flagrant violation of international law, a serious attack on the sovereignty of Qatar, and a threat to the security of its population,” Mahamat said.
The Chadian government reaffirms its commitment to the principles of international law, respect for the sovereignty of states, and the peaceful resolution of disputes.
Chad expressed its solidarity with Qatar, urging the international community to mobilize to prevent any escalation that could jeopardize peace and stability in the region, he added. Enditem
