Charlotte’s Memorial Foundation to donate to Wokumagbe Basic School

The Menstrual Hygiene Day is an annual awareness day that highlights the importance of good menstrual hygiene management at a global level.

Good menstrual hygiene is very crucial for the health, well-being, and empowerment of women and girls worldwide. It plays a critical role in enabling women and girls to reach their full potential.

In this regard, on May 28th, Charlotte’s Memorial Foundation, a non-governmental organization, together with Amazing Girl’s Foundation will celebrate this year’s Menstrual Hygiene Day at Wokumagbe District Assembly Basic School in Ada East.

The theme for this year’s Menstrual Hygiene Day focus on ensuring access to safe and dignified menstrual hygiene management for all individuals, emphasizing the importance of breaking the silence and ending the stigma surrounding menstruation

Charlotte’s Memorial Foundation aimed at promoting gender equality and empower girls and women in Ghana through education, advocacy, distribution of dignity packs to girls and young women and assist in community development initiatives.

Charlotte’s Memorial Foundation and Amazing Girl’s Foundation will distribute top-grade locally made reusable sanitary pads to 120 schoolgirls at the Wokumagbe District Assembly Basic School.

According to the foundation, the pads form one part of component in the yearlong project Dignity Pack which contains underwear, deodorants, hand sanitizers and face towels.

The foundation needs donations and support from organization and individual who are willing to fund this wonderful initiative for the girls.
