An Accra Circuit Court on Monday granted the Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC, bail due to his deteriorating health condition in custody.
The NPP Regional Chairman was granted a bail of GH₵50,000, with one surety required.
As part of the bail condition, Abronye DC would have to report to the police once every week.
Kame Baffoe had been remanded on Friday, September 12, on charges of offensive conduct conducive to a breach of public peace and is facing charges of publication of false news and offensive conduct conducive to the breach of peace.
The allegations include statements that strategic meetings of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) at Akwatia had the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Christian Tetteh Yohuno present and that the current IGP is “the most corrupt” in Ghana’s history. Enditem
