Four-time African Player of the Year Samuel Eto’o has been re-elected president of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT).
As the sole candidate for the position, the 44-year-old Cameroonian legend received 85 out of 87 votes from members of FECAFOOT’s general assembly on Saturday, according to the federation.
Eto’o, who was first elected FECAFOOT president in 2021, will now serve a new four-year term, extending his mandate until 2029.
Eto’o had a glittering club career, playing for the likes of Barcelona, Inter Milan and Chelsea. He also helped Cameroon win two Africa Cup of Nations titles and an Olympic gold medal. Enditem
