Shortlisted pre-tertiary teachers across the country will be writing the 2025 teacher promotion examination, this is according to the Ghana Education Service (GES) over the weekend.
In a statement signed by Prof. Smile Dzis (Mrs), Deputy-General in charge of Management Services for the Acting Director-General, announced that the examination will commence on Monday, December 29 and end on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at designated centres across the country.
“The Management of the Ghana Education Service wishes to inform all teaching staff of the following updates and guidelines regarding the upcoming Teacher Promotion Examinations,” read the statement.
According to the statement, those applying for the ranks of Assistant Director II and Principal Superintendents will write the examination on Monday, while those of Assistant Director I and Deputy Director will take their paper the following day.
The statement further emphasised that all shortlisted candidates for the examination have received official notification indicating their staff ID, index number, and designated examination centre.
GES urged all candidates to adhere strictly to the laid-down guidelines to ensure a smooth, credible, and well-managed promotion exercise. Enditem
