Ghana has successfully completed the evacuation of its nationals from Israel following escalating tensions in the region, Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa confirmed on Thursday.
According to him, all Ghanaians who requested assistance have been safely evacuated and returned home.
The operation was led by Ablakwa, who described it as a successful mission said the evacuees have already arrived safely in Ghana.
The exercise was coordinated through Ghana’s embassy in Tel Aviv with support from regional partners.
Authorities in both Israel and Egypt assisted in ensuring safe passage for evacuees, suggesting a land evacuation route through Egypt.

While some diplomatic staff were evacuated, a small number remain in Israel to provide essential consular services to Ghanaians still in the country.
The evacuation comes amid heightened conflict in the Middle East involving Israel, the United States, and Iran, prompting several countries to pull out their citizens.
The government says it will continue to monitor the situation closely and remains ready to assist any Ghanaian who may still need support. Enditem
