Accra Hearts of Oak dropped points at home in match day 7 of the Ghana Premier League by drawing 2-2 with Bibiani GoldStars at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
The result kept the Phobians unbeaten but also saw them drop out of the top four in the Ghana Premier League.
Hearts of Oak started the game well, determined to pick up all three points. A cross-shot from Mawuli Wayo was deflected into the net by a GoldStars defender in the 40th minute, giving Hearts the lead in a fiercely contested first half.
Back from recess, GoldStars, however, showed resilience. Samuel Attah Kumi once again proved decisive, slotting home the equalizer in the 52nd minute after a fluid counterattack.
He struck again moments later, finishing off another swift move to put the visitors ahead and silence the home crowd.
The home side, however, responded and leveled the score in the 70th minute when George Paaku capitalized on a goalkeeping error, heading home after a misjudged cross. Despite late pressure from both sides, neither could find a winner.
Hearts of Oak will play against Basake Holy Stars in match day 8 of the GPL, while Gold Starsâ, now up to fourth and unbeaten in three matches, take on Young Apostles. Enditem
