Kumasi Asante Kotoko picked up all three points on the road by beating Accra Hearts of Oak 1-0 in matchday 9 of the Ghana Premier League (GPL) at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
Playing at home, Hearts started slowly at the initial stages as the away team came up stronger and dominated proceedings till they were awarded a penalty, which was expertly converted by Morifing Donzo in the 44th minute. The first half ended 1-0 in favor of the Porcupine Warriors.
Hearts of Oak came up stronger in the second half of the game, but the defenders of Kotoko remained resolute, preventing the Phobians from scoring.
Hearts kept their momentum and scored in the dying embers of the game, but were ruled offside, generating so much talk.
With the win, Kotoko maintains their unbeaten run in the 2025/2026 Ghana Premier League. End item
