King Promise was on Saturday night crowned ‘Artiste of the Year’ at the 26th edition of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), cementing his place in Ghana’s music industry.
The Paris hitmaker emerged victorious in a hotly contested category that included Black Sherif, Stonebwoy, King Paluta, Joe Mettle, Team Eternity, and Kweku Smoke.
This marks King Promise’s first-ever win of the TGMA’s top honour, a milestone many in the industry have long anticipated.
In total, he walked away with four awards on the night:
- Artiste of the Year
- Best Afropop Song of the Year (Paris)
- Afrobeats/Afropop Artiste of the Year
- Best Album/EP of the Year (True to Self). Enditem
