Kristo Asafo Founder Apostle Kwadwo Safo dies at age 77

The Founder of the Kristo Asafo Church and technological icon, Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo is reported dead, a statement from Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo, daughter and former Member of Parliament (MP) for the Dome-Kwabenya Constituency confirmed on Sunday.

According to the statement, Apostle Safo died peacefully on Thursday, September 11, 2025.

“With profound sorrow and deepest grief, the Safo Family and the Kristo Asafo Church announce the peaceful passing of Ghana’s beloved man of God, the greatest technological icon, philanthropist, agriculturalist, and industrialist popularly referred to as “Kantanka, the African Star,” read the statement.

“Apostle Safo was a true genius, the beacon of hope for many, a father to the fatherless. Ghana has indeed lost a galant son and a true legend. His unique persona was shaped by his struggles, dreams, resilience, courage, determination and dedication to his calling and conviction,” added the statement.

The family asked for privacy during this difficult moment and that funeral arrangement would be communicated to the public in the coming days. Enditem
