Kurt Okraku congratulates Samuel Eto’o on re-election as FECAFOOT President

Ghana Football Association (GFA) president Kurt Okraku has extended a congratulatory message to Samuel Eto’o for his re-election as president of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT), according to a message on Sunday.

The message issued on behalf of the GFA, the football fraternity in the West African country, and his personal capacity commended Eto’o over the overwhelming mandate given to him in his second term.

The GFA president praised Eto’o for the transformational impact his first tenure has had on Cameroonian football.

“Your re-election reflects not only the remarkable progress made under your stewardship but also the confidence of the Cameroon football community in your ability to deliver even greater change in the years ahead,” said Okraku.

He reaffirmed the strong and mutually beneficial relationship between the Ghana and Cameroon football federations, expressing optimism about deepening collaboration geared toward the development of football across the continent.

“Your continued leadership at FECAFOOT is a significant asset to African football, and we are confident that the next four years will deliver even more groundbreaking achievements,” added the Ghanaian FA boss.

Four-time African Player of the Year Samuel Eto’o was re-elected president of the Cameroon Football Federation on Saturday.

As the sole candidate for the position, the 44-year-old Cameroonian legend received 85 out of 87 votes from FECAFOOT’s general assembly. Enditem
