One of the flagbearer hopefuls of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and former General Secretary, Engineer Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, on Monday, paid a courtesy call to the newly elected presidential candidate of the party Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
Mr. Agyepong, who was accompanied by his wife to the premises of the former Vice President, pledged his unwavering support to the NPP leader.

The largest opposition party in the country held a presidential primary on Saturday in which the 2024 presidential candidate of the NPP was re-elected to lead the party into the 2028 general election.
Dr Bawumia garnered 56.48 percent of total valid votes cast to emerge victorious in the internal contest.

At a ceremony at the party’s headquarters on Saturday, all four contenders including Kennedy Agyapong, Dr Bryan Acheampong, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum and Kwabena Agyei Agyepong all conceeded defeat and congratulated Dr Bawumia for his decisive victory. Enditem
