The president, John Dramani Mahama, announced on Tuesday that the late former first lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, will be accorded a state burial with full honors in recognition of her exceptional service to the nation.
President Mahama visited the residence of the late First Lady to offer his condolences and honor her life of public service.
During the visit, President Mahama reflected on her exceptional legacy and also signed the book of condolence opened in her memory.
At the Rawlings household, Mr Mahama and his spouse joined family members, dignitaries, and mourners in offering prayers and messages of solidarity.
Nana Konadu, who passed on October 23, 2025, was known for her pioneering leadership in women’s advocacy and her role in founding the 31st December Women’s Movement. Enditem
