The Bawku MP urged the Military High Command to commence immediate investigations into the incidents that occurred on Sunday.
“I condemn in no uncertain terms the unacceptable acts of destruction of the statue of the Zurgan of the Kusaug Traditional Area, Asigri Abugrago Azoka II, by some military personnel. I demand an immediate investigation by the senior hierarchy of the military. In the same vein, I also condemn the brutality of the military yesterday, July 13th, 2025,” said the statement.
