Mahama extends warmest greetings to Muslims as Ramadan begins

President John Dramani Mahama has extended warm greetings to all Muslims across the country as the month of Ramadan begins, according to a statement on Friday.

The President and his wife, Lordina Mahama, wished Muslims a spiritually fulfilling and blessed Ramadan.

“As we stand at the threshold of this blessed month of Ramadan, Lordina Dramani Mahama and I extend our warmest greetings to you and your families,” read the statement.

President Mahama described the month of Ramadan as a period of reflection, renewal, and unity.

Ramadan is truly a special time; a month of reflection, renewal, and coming together as one community. As you begin your fast, may your hearts be purified and your imān strengthened. May Allah, the Most Merciful, grant you good health, peace of mind, and abundant mercies throughout these thirty days,” added the statement.

The President further urged Muslims to strengthen the bonds of unity, love, and peace in the various communities across the country.

Muslims across the country began a 30-month fast early this week and are expected to offer special prayers for themselves and their country during the period. Enditem
