President John Dramani Mahama left Accra on Sunday to undertake a five-day working visit to the South Korea, according to a statement from the Presidency.
The statement signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Spokesperson to the President and Minister for Government Communications said the visit, which will be from March 10 to March 14, 2026, forms part of efforts to strengthen bilateral relations and deepen economic cooperation between Ghana and the Asian nation.
President Mahama is expected to hold bilateral talks with the President of the Republic of Korea, Lee Jae Myung, and meet with the Speaker of the Korean National Assembly, Woo Won-shik during the visit.
The statement further announced that the President will also participate in a ship-naming ceremony at the Hyundai Heavy Industries Shipyard in Ulsan and deliver a speech at a conference ceremony at Yonsei University.
There will also be additional engagements including an interaction with Ghanaians living, studying, and working in South Korea, as well as a dinner meeting with business leaders and chief executives aimed at promoting investment and strengthening economic ties between the two countries. Enditem
