By Francis Kobena Tandoh
President John Dramani Mahama will on Wednesday, January 7, mark his first anniversary in office with a non-denominational thanksgiving service.
The event is being held at the forecourt of the Jubilee House in Accra, the seat of government, as part of the ceremony to commemorate one year of his second, non-consecutive presidency.
The Thanksgiving service is non-denominational and open to people of different faiths.
Mahama’s current term began on 7 January 2025, after his victory in the 2024 presidential election.
This marks the first anniversary of his second term as president, making him the first president in Ghana’s history to be democratically elected to a non-consecutive second term. Enditem
