Following the Supreme Court’s 4–1 ruling that quashed the Tamale High Court decision and restored his election, New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Kpandai Matthew Nyindam expressed deep gratitude for the outcome.

He thanked the Almighty God, his legal team, and the Supreme Court judges for what he described as a fair and just ruling that affirmed the will of the people of Kpandai.

Nyindam also extended his appreciation to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) leadership at all levels and the residents of Kpandai for their steadfast support throughout the legal process.

In his remarks to the media few moments after the Wednesday ruling by the apex court, Nyindam emphasised that the ruling reaffirmed the mandate given to him by the electorate, noting the joy among constituents who voted for him and expected him to serve a full term.

He also paid tribute to former Vice-President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia for his encouragement during the judicial battle and expressed optimism about his future impact.

The Supreme Court judgment not only ends the legal uncertainty over the Kpandai seat but, in Nyindam’s view, upholds democratic choice and the constitutional process. Enditem
