National Organizer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye, also known as Nana B, said on Tuesday that the upcoming presidential primary of the party will be credible.
In a post shared on his Facebook page, Nana B disclosed that the Presidential Elections Committee of the party held a stakeholder meeting with the Ghana Police Service and the Electoral Commission.
“There was a joint stakeholder meeting with the Presidential Elections Committee of the NPP, the Ghana Police, and the Electoral Commission. Present in the meeting were representatives of the National Executives of NPP and the Presidential Aspirants’ representatives.
The meeting was to discuss security arrangements and preparations for the upcoming Presidential Primaries, scheduled for Saturday, January 31, 2026, aimed at ensuring a free, fair, transparent, credible, and peaceful electoral process,” read the post.
According to him, the Inspector-General of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohuno, assured members of a credible and incident-free election.
“It was refreshing to note that all the stakeholders at the meeting expressed their satisfaction with the conduct and work of the Presidential Elections Committee so far. The Party remains committed to upholding democratic values and ensuring a transparent, credible, and fair process,” he added.
