Head coach for the Black Stars of Ghana, Otto Addo, on Tuesday named a 22-man squad for international friendly matches against Japan and South Korea commencing this week.
Addo’s squad features a mix of youth and experience, with Prince Kwabena Adu, Kelvin Nkrumah, and Prince Osei Owusu earning their first national team call-ups.
The Black Stars will, however, be without several key players, including Jordan Ayew, Thomas Partey, Mohammed Kudus, Alexander Djiku, Ernest Nuamah, and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku.
Ghana will face Japan in the 2025 Kirin Cup at the Toyota Stadium in Nagoya on Nov. 14 before travelling to Seoul to take on South Korea four days later.
The games form part of Ghana’s preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup after sealing qualification earlier this month.
