Fuel prices in Ghana rose on Monday, February 16, 2026, following a new directive by the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) for the second pricing window in February.
According to the Chamber of Oil Marketing Companies (COMAC), petrol, diesel, and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) prices are all expected to rise between Feb. 16 and Feb. 28.
The new fuel price floors (minimum pump prices) as announced by the NPA are as follows;
Petrol (PMS): GH¢10.24 per litre (up from GH¢9.99)
Diesel (AGO): GH¢11.34 per litre (up from GH¢10.95)
LPG: GH¢9.43 per kilogram
Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) are not allowed to sell below the prices during this period.
Projected pump prices (market estimates) due to the cedi’s depreciation and rising global oil prices, actual pump prices may reach;
Petrol: ~GH¢11.97/litre
Diesel: ~GH¢13.09/litre
LPG: ~GH¢13.93/kg
The fuel price increase has largely been attributed to a weakening Ghana cedi, rising international crude oil prices, and higher cost of refined petroleum imports. Enditem
