Five police officers have been interdicted for various acts of misconduct, the Ghana Police Service confirmed in a statement on Tuesday.
According to the statement signed by Richmond Mensah, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) for the Director-General, Public Affairs, the officers were interdicted for misbehaving on social media.
“The Ghana Police Service has interdicted the following personnel of the service for various acts of misconduct involving the use of the police uniform for unauthorized purposes on social media,” read the statement.
The officers include G/Sgt. Samuel Agbemanyale, G/Cpl. Isaac Mpere, G/Cpl. Samuel Agbo, G/Cpl. Charles Oduro, and PW/Const. Elizabeth Dicka Korkor.
The personnel, according to the statement, have been referred to the Police Professional Standards Bureau for further investigation and necessary disciplinary action. End item
