The Tema Regional Police Command has arrested two suspects in connection with the murder of a male adult within the Tema Harbour enclave, according to a statement released here on Sunday.
The statement, signed by Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Dede Dzakpasu, Public Affairs Officer said the arrest followed a distress call received by the police on May 30th 2025, reporting the discovery of a lifeless male body within the harbour area.
According to the Police, while investigating the scene, they received further information that a man had been arrested by some members of the public for allegedly carrying a human head and so swiftly proceeded to the second location and rescued the suspect, who was identified as Ali Mustapha.
The suspect, the Police emphasized, was subsequently taken into custody and further investigations led to the arrest of a second suspect, Zakaria Mohammed.
Meanwhile, the body of the deceased has been deposited at the Police Hospital morgue for preservation and autopsy while both suspects are currently in police custody while efforts are being made to identify the deceased. Enditem
