The statement, signed by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Godwin Ahianyo, Head of Public Affairs Unit in the Ashanti Region, observed that preliminary findings indicate that a middle-aged man was shot and killed by two unidentified assailants.

According to the police, the suspects, both riding separate motorbikes, reportedly approached the victim at close range and opened fire before fleeing the scene.
