The torchbearer and the sacrificial lamb of the NPP remains focus on the ball for victory

The Best Tradition in the NPP should be maintained, more importantly, at a time when our own words and actions caused us the 2024 defeat

Fellow party members, distinguished guests, and fellow Ghanaians.
As we approach the NPP Presidential Primaries on January 31, 2026, it’s essential to reflect on the values that unite us. Our party’s strength lies in its diversity, inclusivity, and commitment to meritocracy.

Unfortunately, recent trends on social media and traditional media have seen some members engaging in tribal and religious bigotry, which undermines our party’s unity and principles.

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, a frontrunner in the presidential race, has spoken out against these divisive tactics, emphasizing that our party’s success hinges on unity, not sectarian interests. According to a recent survey or poll, 83% of NPP delegates reject religious and ethnic propaganda in primaries, underscoring the need for issue-based campaigning.

Key Principles for a United Party:

Meritocracy: Let’s focus on what aspirants can do for the party, their commitment, and loyalty, rather than their ethnicity or religion.

Inclusivity: Our party’s traditions have always rested on embracing diversity, and we must continue to uphold these values.

Issue-Based Campaigning: Aspirants should articulate their visions clearly, addressing national issues without resorting to divisive tactics.

The Importance of Unity:

As Dr. Bawumia aptly put it, “The NPP will always triumph over tribal and religious bigots. What we need is unity to go forward and win 2028.” Let’s prioritize collective goals over personal interests and ensure our party remains a beacon of hope for Ghanaians.

A Call to Action:

I urge all aspirants and party members to maintain decorum in their expressions, focusing on policy initiatives and track records rather than personal attacks. Let’s work together to present a united front to the electorate, ensuring our party’s victory in 2028.

In conclusion, the rejected stone shall surely become the cornerstone for our victory in 2028. Let us rally behind the principles of unity, inclusivity, and meritocracy, and together, we shall overcome the challenges ahead.
Thank you.
