Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree to establish a 14-member delegation for upcoming talks with Russia, the Interfax-Ukraine news agency reported Wednesday.
According to the decree published on the presidential website, Rustem Umerov, secretary of Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council, will head the Ukrainian delegation.
The negotiation team includes advisor to the head of Presidential Office Oleksandr Bevz, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Ukrainian Naval Forces Oleksandr Dyakov, and First Deputy Foreign Minister Sergiy Kyslytsya.
The delegation also comprises representatives from the Ukrainian security and intelligence agencies, armed forces and parliament.
The talks are scheduled to take place in Türkiye’s Istanbul later on Wednesday. The previous round of negotiations between Ukrainian and Russian delegations took place on June 2. Enditem
