‘We have not agreed to DStv price reduction’ – MultiChoice Group

By Francis Kobena Tandoh

MultiChoice Group has said it has not agreed to a price reduction regarding DStv pricing in the country, according to a statement released by the company on Friday.

The statement came after the Minister for Communications, Technology, and Digital Technology, Samuel Nartey George, had announced at a press conference that the company had agreed to cut down prices and that a working committee had been established in connection with that.

However, in a statement, MutiChoice said, “We have noted the statement made by the Minister for Communications, Technology and Innovation, Hon. Samuel Nartey George. We continue to engage with the Minister in a bid to find an amicable solution that is beneficial for all parties involved but does not jeopardise the viability of the DStv service.”

“We will fully participate in the established Working Committee. However, we wish to clarify that MultiChoice Group has not agreed to a price reduction,” added the statement.
