Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Thursday that he personally supports the introduction of online voting in potential elections, but noted that there is currently no consensus with the parliament on the issue.
“I have always supported and raised the issue, even since the beginning of COVID-19, regarding legislative changes to allow people to vote online. So far, we have not found consensus with lawmakers,” he told reporters.
He said Ukraine is currently mulling holding only presidential elections at the request of the United States, while local or parliamentary elections are not under consideration.
