The 2026/27 Ghana Premier League league officially gets underway this weekend, September 4–7, 2026, with clubs across the country beginning their 30-week campaign.
Defending champions Medeama SC begin their title defence away to Dreams FC, while newly promoted Debibi United will make their historic Premier League debut at home against Asante Kotoko. Fellow newcomers Port City FC face FC AshantiGold 04 in another opening-weekend encounter.
A major Matchday 1 fixture is Hearts of Oak vs Berekum Chelsea at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, September 6. The match is among the fixtures selected for live television coverage.
The season is scheduled to conclude on the weekend of May 28–31, 2027. Enditem
