Four people were killed and three others injured in a tourist helicopter crash in Russia’s southern Dagestan region, the republic’s health minister Yaroslav Glazov said Friday.
Sergei Melikov, head of the Republic of Dagestan, confirmed that there were seven people on board. He said that the three injured were in critical condition and had been taken to a local hospital.
Melikov ordered that all necessary assistance be provided to the injured and said relevant authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
The Ka-226 helicopter burned upon impact and was completely destroyed, authorities said. Enditem
