The Nile Group, a leading manufacturer of mining machines and an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) project contractor, is seeking to establish a company in Ghana to provide services in the mining sector, Marshall Yang, Sales Manager of the company, confirmed.
Speaking along the sidelines of the 11th West & Central Africa Mining Summit & Expo 2025, Yang observed that Ghana has several openings in the mining sector, largely due to the big mining companies operating in the country.
He disclosed that his company decided to be part of this year’s summit to seek investment opportunities that abound in the mining industry.
“This is my second time coming to Ghana, and if you are thinking of establishing a business in West Africa, it is Ghana you should consider first. We did a little research, so we know Ghana is rich in gold and has a stable government. “The policies are turning in favor of us manufacturers, so we know that there is a good market and policy,” said Yang to Ghana Eye Report in an interview.
He emphasized that the use of explosives is quite critical in the mining industry, and that is what they have specialized in, and they will help the industry to grow with their products.
“Actually, Ghana has a lot of potential opportunities because very big mining companies are here, so this explosive is very important for the mining industry. Without the explosive, the mining industry cannot thrive, so it is really important that we have a very good company. So, it is really important to have a very good company, and our product is much better than others,” he added.
Yang further added that safety is the number one concern of their company; hence, their products are environmentally friendly.
“The safety precaution of products is the most important thing for us. We Indians, we know how to keep our products safe, as safety is our priority,” added Yang.
Maggie Tan, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Magenta Global PTE Limited, organizers of the summit, observed that the rationale behind the program is to identify and discuss teething problems facing resource-rich communities to inform policy change that will be to the benefit of the people.
She said, “We are not affiliated with any government or industry. So, our purpose really is for this platform to generate conversations, to hear the problems from the ground, and then to look at how you can influence policy in that way.”
Established in 1987 with its headquarters in Hong Kong, the Nile Group developed from a pure equipment manufacturer to a high-tech enterprise, including designing, manufacturing, marketing, e-commerce, and an after-sales department.
The company is committed to the mining and construction industry and provides customers with world-class products and services.
