Parliament is now scheduled to resume to commence business on October 21; this is according to a statement from the Office of the Speaker.
The statement signed by Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin comes on the back of an earlier letter deferring indefinitely the commencement of Parliament on Oct. 14 due to unforeseen circumstances.
“Pursuant to the notice to defer the commencement of the Third Meeting of the First Session of the Ninth Parliament of the Fourth Republic dated 6th October 2025, I, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, Speaker of Parliament, give notice that the Third Meeting of the First Session of the Ninth Parliament of the Fourth Republic shall now commence on Tuesday, the 21st day of October 2025, at 1400 hours at Parliament House, Accra,” read the statement.
