Hearts of Oak picked up three points away in Match Day 6 of the Ghana Premier League (GPL) by beating Berekum Chelsea 2-0 at the Golden City Park on Sunday, ending a two-game winless run.
The Phobians went into the fixture unbeaten in their last nine meetings with Chelsea and extended that record with a disciplined and efficient performance.
Goals from Hamza Issah and Mawuli Wayo in the second half sealed the win for the visitors, who remain unbeaten this season.
Similarly, Aduana FC ended their seven-game winless run on the road with a 2-0 win over Hohoe United at the Hohoe Sports Stadium on Sunday.
The Ogya Boys produced a disciplined and clinical performance to stun the newly promoted side, who were seeking a third consecutive victory in the top flight.
After a cagey first half that saw both teams cancel each other out, Aduana broke the deadlock in the 64th minute through forward Mezack Afriyie.
Aduana sealed the win deep into stoppage time when Emmanuel Marfo finished off a swift counterattack to score his fourth goal of the campaign.
The result marks Aduana’s first victory of the season away, while Hohoe’s two-game winning streak came to an end.
