Head coach for Asante Kotoko, Abdul Karim Zito, has apologized to the teeming fans of the Kumasi-based club for their 1-0 loss to Hohoe United away on Sunday.
Zito observed that the team was tactically bankrupt in the first half of the game, hence led to the defeat.
“We did not play well in the first half; we were tactically undisciplined, and I must say this is not an acceptable performance… I am sorry,” said the Kotoko coach.
Kotoko has gone winless in four games, and many have attributed that to the growing injury that has hit the Porcupines.
But Zito disagreed with such an argument and said all the registered players were recruited to play for the club; hence, he expected those stepping up to take advantage.
He said, “All the players we have were registered to play for Kotoko, so if some are injured, I’m expecting those replacing them to make their names from the situation.
The Kotoko coach observed that he is going to work on the psyche of his players to regain their lost form in the upcoming Premier League matches. Enditem
